Quinn Trailer + Quick Update

Dearest me it has been a while since an update. It's late, and I want to get this off my chest, this past week or so has been a major shake-up. For Theta and my own life. Phase 3 is coming this Saturday if things don't proceed to shake-up. That is all I'm saying for the moment, if nothing else know this, I hate leaving everyone in the dark, I hate hiatuses, and most of all I hate excuses. So let me sum it up: it's complicated.

Also I haven't updated the kickstarter in a month... dammit. I'll do it in the afternoon.

Holy Redesign Batman!

Yes, I've taken about three hours of my time to redesign the blog for the sake of professionalism. So there's now a ton of new stuff to explore, including pages (which I've used this damn thing for like two years and I've never noticed I could do that *facepalm*). A video archive side-bar. Also a donate button! We really appreciate anything you have to offer.

Also, be sure to look out for Episode 1: Phase 1: Contact on May 22nd!

My Schedule

To put my point across that I really don't have time to think of an update. Here's a list of things I need to do this week.

  • Finish the audio for Episode 1 Phase 1.
  • Finish recording footage for Episode 1 Phase 2.
  • Make the turret green screen effects not suck for Phase 2.
  • Film Episode 2.
  • Implement new scene for Episode 2 into the script.
  • Edit Episode 3 one last time before sending it to the cast.
  • Finish the second draft of the Outlander, and start the third.
  • Bring the Theta Universe up to speed with the updated scripts.
  • Design the CDHP emblem.
  • Find something to do with the pinboard that's been on my wall for the past three months (also the whiteboard).
  • Film a special video(s).
  • Film more special videos.
  • Do another video update (just for fun).
  • Read that one book about marketing... you know the one.
  • Write another special video.
  • Send special video off to voice cast.
  • Send lines to backers.
  • Spend two hours trying to get a ten second shot right (true story).
  • More stuff I'm forgetting.
  • Make a schedule for this crap.

Production Update #blahblahblah

Sorry I posted this one late, but I stayed up till 4:00am trying to get Phase 1 finished. Still got more to go. The important thing is to get the video portion finished and decided so I can go ahead and clear some room on my hard drive. Delete all unnecessary takes, making some room for recording Phase 2.

Expect some real updates once I get a breather. I'm hustling dammit. I'm getting this shit done dammit. Be patient dammit.

Also, filming for Episode 2 has finally begun.

Yay... More work.

Our very first Production Video!

That's right, we've recorded something from behind the scenes (or behind the screen, technically) and have posted it up for your viewing pleasure. To give everyone a valuable insight about filming in the campaign mode (and whether or not NPCs are alive inside).

Check it out below:

New Update Format + Poster Revealed

Hi all, and sorry for the lack of updates.

Which is what we're here to talk about actually, sit down.

So I discovered this thing called a schedule, which means we'll be setting days of the week in which we will do things, such as updating the blogs, and adhering to the schedule (or 'following' it if you will). Sounds stupid to me, but we'll implement one for the sake of our followers (the things we do for you people).

So our schedule will be on Mondays we will update the kickstarter blog and on Fridays we'll update this blog with cool stuff like screenshots and all things pertaining to production of Theta. So basically only check this blog because it's cooler.

So without further ado, here's your first dose of production update goodness (first one's on me, you'll be back).

Okay, I wasn't prepared for this at all...

What should I do...

HEY SCREENCAPS EVERONE!

And an official poster for the show.

Quick Filming Update

Here's a quick filming update. ALL MY DAMN CONTROLLERS LOOK THE SAME and according to the theater file in the game I spent 45 minutes filming a three minute scene with six characters and most of that time was spent figuring out who the hell was who. Now I can lay those problems to rest, now that I have labels for the controllers. Behold my genius:

Now I can save much time.

Theta Episode 1 HD

With our kickstarter a success, here's a preview of some of the set design progress we've made for the re-release of Episode 1.

Looking back, a lot of the set design was repetitive and dull. So when revisiting the sets, it became clear that we needed to add more color and detail, to make up for the plain-ness of the Forge mode's options.

As for the set design of future episodes... Well, you'll just have to wait and see *wink*.
